BMO: Road to Team of the Week 2013
U12 Premier Boys - Hollandia Gremio

Let's help our U12 Boys become the 2013 BMO Team of the week! Voting is open from August 5 - 19, 2013. To vote during this period or for more information, please click the link below:

Vote Hollandia Gremio!!

The U12 boys Hollandia Gremio team coached by Alvaro Campos and Austin Boryski were the first team from Saskatchewan across Canada selected as a BMO team of the week finalist.

The team was selected based on team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. They raised money for breast cancer research, did a food drive on the city wide food drive day and submitted many videos.

The team had a pizza and cake celebration in their honour at the BMO branch on Ludlow Street on Saturday May 4th. They were presented with track suits and a cheque for $500.00 to the charity of their choice which was breast cancer research.

We encourage everyone in Saskatoon to vote for them in the hopes they will be selected team of the week champion in August. The champion will be awarded:

-$125,000 field refurbishment for the community.
-$5000.00 donated to the team's Canadian charity of choice.
-Trip for the entire team, coaching staff and chaperones to attend a Canadian Major League Soccer or National team home match.

Is Your Child Ready for the Premier Team?
Parents often get upset when their child has not "made" the top tiered team. This is mostly because the average parent is not aware of the difference between chronological age and developmental age.Does it really help your child to demand he/she be placed on a team where all the other players are ahead developmentally?

Taking a Break

How Players Move Through The Club
Parents often want to move their children up an age group. This practice can have adverse effects on development, and should only be practiced when all a player is mature in the four corners of development.

The Product of Over-Parenting

Time to End the Zoning System
The current zoning system in Saskatoon in obsolete, breeds mediocrity and is causing kids to leave the sport. In my opinion, zoning has served a much needed purpose, but it is time to move on before it completely destroys the game in our city.
